Installation Assistance

The following is designed to provide basic assistance with installation on some of the more popular Digital Audio Workstaions. It is by no means a comprehensive "how to" instructional production guide, but may assist some of the less experienced users in getting started:

Windows:

You will be supplied with a unique serial number which is assigned to your machine, so please keep this safe and do not share it with anyone. We track illegal authorization and use of our software.

Your serial number will look something like this:

EXAMPLESERIAL - 9572-001-9911

Simply copy and paste it into the box when you run the VST for the first time. Make sure there are NO SPACES before or after it.

INSTALLATION STEP 1:

VSTs on Windows machines are actually .DLL files, with an acompanying "instruments" folder.

The most common file path is going to be:

C:\Program Files\[ApplicationName]\VST

However, this could vary for most programs.

** We recommend you search the web to find detailed instructions for your specific host program. Example Internet Search: "how to install VST FL Studio" - you will find multiple results to give you what you need.**

INSTALLATION STEP 2:

MOVE the "BomDrop.dll" file AND the "BomDrop.instruments" folder into your VST Plug-Ins folder, which you have located in STEP 1.

INSTALLATION STEP 3:

IF your host Digital Audio Workstation program is already open, close it and restart it. When your host program starts up again, it could automatically re-scan your Plug-Ins folder and detect your recently installed BomDrop plugin. However, some programs will require you to tell it to rescan the Plug-Ins folder in order for the newly installed BomDrop VST to be found.

Once again, we recommend searching the web for details on how to install and operate a new VST in the software that you are using.

INSTALLATION STEP 4:

Open your Digital Audio Workstation Software, locate the BomDrop Plugin - Use the serial below.

* If you still do not see the BomDrop Plugin in your Digital Audio Workstation Software, try closing all applications and restarting your computer.

** Ensure that you have followed the correct installation and folder scanning procedure for your particular host program.

Apple Mac AU and VST:

You will be supplied with a unique serial number which is assigned to your machine, so please keep this safe and do not share it with anyone. We track illegal authorization and use of our software.

Your serial number will look something like this:

EXAMPLESERIAL - 9572-001-9911

Simply copy and paste it into the box when you run the VST for the first time. Make sure there are NO SPACES before or after it.

INSTALLATION STEP 1:

Open the file called .pkg file and run the installer. This is a common library that Macs use in order to run our component.

INSTALLATION STEP 2:

FOR AU: MOVE the "BomDrop.component" file in your components folder:

Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > Plug-Ins > Components

FOR VST: MOVE the "BomDrop.vst" file in your components folder:

Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > Plug-Ins > VST (VST2/VST3)

or

Macintosh HD > Users > YourUsername > Library > Audio > Plug-Ins > VST (VST2/VST3)

INSTALLATION STEP 3:

IF your host Digital Audio Workstation program is already open, close it and restart it. When your host program starts up again, it will re-scan your Plug-Ins folder and detect your recently installed BomDrop plugin.

INSTALLATION STEP 4:

Open your Digital Audio Workstation Software, locate the BomDrop Plugin - Use the serial below.

* If you do not see the BomDrop Plugin in your Digital Audio Workstation Software, try closing all applications and restarting your computer.
